Florence Lounge / Restaurant / Sushi Bar: The Lounge

Rating: good food, classical and cosmopolitan atmosphere
Specialties: sushi pink room, and fresh pasta, meats and oils in original combinations.

Note: classic, trendy and elegant place where lunch, aperitivo, dinner, sushi bar, cocktail bar, after dinner and brunch are offered all year in three different areas and atmospheres: outside the restaurant there is a teak structure with modern cushions and tables; the restaurant room has classical style with sofas, cushions and sober tables and chairs; the sushi room is on the ground floor, it is called the Pink Room and has a trendy minimalistic style. Lounge music. Closed Monday and August.

Rating: very good food & also very famous

Specialties: "tortino ai carciofi", "petto di pollo al burro".
Note: you might be sharing the table with other customers. Closed in August.

Florence Trattoria: 13 Gobbi

Rating: good food & a nice place too
Address: via del Porcellana, 9; tel. 055-284015; going out on the left of our front door, first street on the right, 70 metres down.
Specialties: "rigatoni di casa", "tagliata al ramerino".

Rating: good food
Address: Via del Sole, 27; tel. 055-218928; going out on the left of our door, all the way down the street, cross Piazza S. M. Novella and continue for 30 metres.
Specialties: "bistecca", "fagioli al fiasco", "baccal‡".
Note: Closed Sunday.

Florence Vineria -Trattoria: i'vinaino

Rating: a nice place
Address: Via Palazzuolo, corner via dell'Albero; tel. 055-292287; going out on the right of our front door, third street on the left, 90 metres.
Specialties: "ribollita", "tortello di patate".
Note: Closed Sunday.

Florence Coffee Bar: San Carlo

Rating: practical
Address: Borgognissanti, 32; tel. 055-216879; going out on the left of our front door, first street on the right, second on the left, 120 mts.
Specialties: "lasagne asparagi e taleggio", "baccal con verdure".
Note: Open from 7:30am to 12pm, closed on sunday - a seated quick lunch

Florence Coffee Bar: Sandra & Claudio

Rating: good sandwiches
Address: literally just opposite our palazzo!; tel. 055-294821.
Specialties: very good sandwiches, "pizze and focacce ripiene".
Note: closes at 8pm.
