HALF DAY CHIANTI WEST TOUR
Chianti is the place to go if you’re looking to discover the ancient traditions
of peasants, the daily work they carried out on the lands, the nature of the olive
groves and the famous red and white grape vineyards from which the famous Chianti
wine is extracted. When visiting the vineyards you will be accompanied by their
beautiful scent - a wonderful companion when admiring the world-renowned countryside
of the Gallo Nero Chianti Wine area. It will be a day filled with country houses,
farmhouses, castles, ancient villages with narrow streets and landscapes – all
an excellent example of its typical nature.

Tidy rows of vineyards set amid historic villages and silvery-green olive trees
are the scenic backdrop for this half day wine excursion to the Chianti Country,
showcasing the world-renowned Chianti Classico wine. The first stop is a tour
of the town of Greve in Chianti. Its picturesque, asymmetrical main piazza is
aligned with palaces, porticoes and loggias, with the reconstructed church of
Santa Croce housing beautiful Renaissance paintings from the School of Fra Angelico
at one end and a statue of the explorer Giovanni da Verrazzano, who discovered
New York Harbor, at the other.Following this, you will head to the Castel di Verrazzano,
whose horizon silhouette can be seen in all its ancient grandeur. The road lined
with characteristic cypress trees lead you into one of the most famous and typical
wineries in the whole of Tuscany, where you will enjoy a wine tasting session.
